The Content Storage Services must also provide the capability for a long-term strategy on managing unstructured information with a relevant format conversion capabilities. The Retrieval Services return requested documents. Their performance depends on the index structure created by the Indexing Services.

An example would be a workflow through which images and audio files need to go as part of a publishing procedure for a website.
